About Foundation Home
Foundation Home is built by FH Home LLC. We make software that keeps a living record of the equipment in a house, so the details that matter are in one place when something needs service, and stay with the house when it changes hands.
The problem
A house is full of equipment that matters: the furnace, the water heater, the electrical panel. The model and serial numbers are on a plate in the basement, the manual is lost, and the history leaves with the previous owner. When something breaks, the homeowner starts from zero.
Our approach
Foundation Home starts from a photo. The app reads the nameplate, builds a record with manufacturer, model, and serial, finds the matching product manual, and lets the homeowner ask that manual questions in plain language. Answers come from the manual for that exact piece of equipment.
How it is built
Foundation Home is a native iOS app built on Google Cloud and Firebase. It uses Cloud Vision to read equipment nameplates, Gemini to answer questions from product manuals, and Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage for each household’s records.
